Location: Traverse 3, 3905 NL Veenendaal Programme: 14.15-15.00 hrs Walk-in 15.00-16.30 hrs Start presentation: The Travel Benchmark 16.30-17.00 hrs Discussion/ questions 17.00-18.00 hrs Drinks & bites As an accountant, BRIL Accountants is the specialist in the travel sector with a large number of tour operators as clients, 15 of which are from the Top 50 of TravMagazine. This year’s benchmark consists, on the one hand, of an anonymous comparison with the year 2022, including a clear analysis with many financial parameters that matter in this sector. On the other hand, the benchmark consists of comparing 2022 with the last pre-coronary year 2019. The results are already startling. They provide good insight into what “corona” has meant for the travel industry and the extent to which companies have climbed out of this slump. Considerations include the income statement, average revenue per FTE, margin per FTE, cost of an average FTE and profitability. It also looks at revenue relative to personnel costs and costs relative to automation costs. Again, it looks at what companies have done to control costs, how much support they have received and their debt position. Particularly scrutinized are the costs of automation and personnel, the two largest cost items for businesses. ‘In the profit and loss account, we look at how we think a tour operator should perform. We also come up with recommendations’, say Arend van de Geest and Marcel Nijssen on behalf of BRIL Accountants. The results are surprising! There is room for up to 80 visitors. So be quick about it.
