Presenting Eurostar’s new marketing campaign in London, CEO Gwendoline Cazenave revealed that there will be a meeting between all stakeholders on Oct. 30 to learn whether Eurostar can still “just” depart from Amsterdam CS to London next year during the station’s refurbishment. This is not to be confused with the route to Paris, which will continue to run as usual under the Eurostar name that Thalys has since replaced. Swiss research has shown, the CEO said, that that should be possible. It is up to the Dutch parties to see if it will actually happen that the high-speed line will continue to depart during the rebuilding of Amsterdam CS (with no temporary absence of up to 11 months). Cazenave let it be known to be positive and hopeful. “There has to be a decision,” the top woman said.
