Reiswerk supports Vacansoleil employees in their search for a new job. The tour company was declared bankrupt on September 28, which was a major event for the original 300 employees. In mid-October, it was announced that the travel brand Vacansoleil is making a restart with only eight to ten employees. France’s Maeva Campings, the online travel agency of Pierre & Vacances-Center Parcs, is taking over the Dutch camping provider’s name and website. The rest of the employees have to look for a new job. Reiswerk, the labour market fund for the travel sector, supports the (former) employees of Vacansoleil in finding a new job, says Esther Gathier, manager of Reiswerk. ‘Many (former) employees of Vacansoleil would like to continue working in the travel industry. Reiswerk hopes to be able to retain this large group of employees and the experience and knowledge they have for the sector.’ Through Reiswerk’s mobility platform ‘Get back to work quickly’ , former employees can find various tools that can increase their chances of finding a new job. On the ‘Back to work quickly’ page, (former) employees can find information about losing their job, application tips and tools to support the application process, such as a CV check, application training and more. There is also a job board of the travel industry, which currently lists vacancies at every level and every field. Reiswerk has added the theme ‘Get back to work quickly’ to the Travel College learning platform. This theme is especially for (former) employees of Vacansoleil and offers modules on applying for jobs and personal branding. In addition, Reiswerk has made a number of tools available to help them find their talents and motivations. Reiswerk asks (former) employees to share their profile with them, so that it can be shared with travel companies that have open vacancies. Both employees who want to share their profile and employers who want to view these profiles can email via info@reiswerk.nl. (Photo: Shutterstock).
