The slot coordinator allocates 3,574 additional non-historical slots at Schiphol, as expected. A total of 17 airlines, including 6 cargo carriers, have received these non-historic slots, according to airline umbrella organisation Barin. ‘Following Minister Harbers’ decision to suspend the Experimental Scheme, Schiphol Airport asked the slot coordinator to issue an addendum in which the full total annual capacity was reflected in the Declaration of Capacity for the Summer ’24. The number of originally allocated slots for S’24 from 281,000 was increased to 293,000 slots, resulting in the allocation of all historical slots and 3,574 non-historical slots. New entrants without historical slots, such as JetBlue and Air India that started their services in 2023, will now also be allocated slots. A total of 17 airlines, including 6 cargo carriers, have received these non-historical slots.”
