The color code of the travel advice for all of Israel is red as of today, Sunday, April 14, 2024. This was in response to the attack on the country by Iran. The message reads: “Do not travel to Israel. On April 13, 2024, Iran and a number of allies carried out an airstrike with missiles and drones on Israel. It cannot be ruled out that more attacks will take place. Are you currently in Israel? Leave Israel if it is safe to do so. Does the air raid siren go off? Immediately find a bomb shelter or other safe place. The security situation is uncertain and could deteriorate further. Follow the local news. Follow the directions of the local authorities.” KLM does not fly to Tel Aviv today and, like most other airlines, avoids the closed airspaces. This can mean extra travel time to destinations in the Middle East, among others.
