Anyone who thinks that all safety videos on board planes are boring has not yet seen TUI’s new video. TUI has launched a new video with the safety instructions in the style of a mini-feature film. In this new video, titled A Global Film, TUI takes its passengers on a journey around the world. The video of more than four minutes is a compilation of exciting adventures in various destinations. “It’s like a compilation of famous films with ancient Egyptian tombs à la Indiana Jones to Kill Bill-like Chinese temples, complete with exciting chase scenes,” TUI says in a statement. A passenger plays the lead role as a spy, assisted by a member of the cabin crew. This ambitious creation is produced by Missing Link Films and directed by award-winning Alicia MacDonald. They collaborated with Bollywood choreographers, dance emsembles and historical clothing experts to create a truly authentic film, and all with a wink, says TUI. The film will be shown on board the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and selected Boeing 737s from the global TUI fleet in most of TUI’s European markets. Dutch travelers can watch the film on board flights with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Amsterdam, mainly to the Caribbean. “Safety on board is the highest priority, which is why a good instructional video is important,” says Günther Hofman, Managing Director TUI fly Western Region. “To keep the attention of all the passengers, this very entertaining version has been made.”
