
Dubai received 11 percent more international visitors in the first quarter of this year than in the first three months of last year. A total of 5.18 million international overnight visitors were counted from January to March. In the same period last year, there were 4.67 million. According to Dubai’s Ministry of Economy and Tourism (DET), the growth is in line with policies to strengthen the city’s position for both business and leisure travel. Last year, Dubai had a record 17.15 million international overnight visitors.
