
RIU Hotels & Resorts has completed the refurbishment of the historic Riu Plaza The Gresham in Dublin. The four-star hotel, located in the centre of the Irish capital, now has a total of 404 rooms that have been completely renovated. In addition to the completely renovated rooms and suites, the historic six-storey hotel has eleven rooms for meetings and conferences. The famous street where the hotel is located, O’Connell Street, is the main street in the city. Due to its location in the heart of Dublin, guests can explore numerous attractions on foot, such as the River Liffey, which flows through the city centre, Croke Park, Dublin Castle, the well-known Temple Bar and the shopping area of Henry Street. In addition, it is only 20 minutes to the airport. The hotel is close to Dublin’s Convention Centre. Since the acquisition of this hotel in September 2016, RIU has expanded the capacity of the accommodation and improvements and upgrades have been made over the years. The goal of the now completed renovation was to renovate almost all of the hotel’s rooms and add 16 new rooms, for a total of 404. In addition, from now on, the hotel will only use green energy All electricity used in the hotel will have the certificate of renewable origin.
