More than 1,000 departures and 375,000 guests are expected at Airport Weeze during the summer holidays in the Netherlands and Germany to fly to their holiday destination or to visit friends and family. ‘We are looking forward to the big holiday wave and are well prepared. We also recommend that holidaymakers arrive at the terminal at least 2.5 hours before departure, so that their holiday can start relaxed and stress-free.” ‘Palma de Mallorca is the most visited destination, followed by Girona and Zadar. A change from 2023, when most planes departed to Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Alicante. The number of passengers during the summer holidays at the airport increased by 26.4% compared to 2023 and 2024, when 300,000 passengers used Airport Weeze,” said Tom Kurzweg, explaining the growth of the airport on the Lower Rhine.
