Brussels Airlines has achieved a profit of 11.6 million euros (EBIT, earnings before interest and taxes, ed.) in the second quarter of this financial year.
This is less than in the second quarter of last year.
According to Brussels Airlines, this is mainly due to lower production.
In the meantime, the Belgian airline has added an additional Airbus A330 to its fleet and Nairobi was welcomed as a new destination in the network.
Brussels Airlines expects a strong summer season and a strong profit for the full year 2024.
During the first six months of this year, Brussels Airlines carried 3.9 million passengers, with almost 30,000 flights.
The average occupancy rate was 82 percent. (Photo Shutterstock).
