Europa-Park has been named the best theme park in the world for the ninth time.
This industry award, the so-called Golden Ticket Award, was awarded by the international trade magazine Amusement Today.
Having already won the title between 2014 and 2022, Germany’s largest theme park once again beat renowned parks such as Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.
MACK Rides’ roller coaster innovation Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac was also awarded as the ‘best new roller coaster in the world’.
Europa-Park also received an award for the reconstruction of the Austrian themed area in less than a year with the “Alpenexpress Enzian” and the “Tyrolean White Water Rapids”.
The awards were presented at Kennywood in Pennsylvania.
Despite strong competition, especially from the USA, the jury of experts named the family-owned company from Baden-Württemberg as the winner.
These emphasized the large number of high-quality attractions that provide visitors with a great experience.
The experts were also impressed by the mix of traditional attractions and digital content, as well as the top-notch entertainment, food and drink, and lodging options on offer.
The expert jury was also impressed by the rapid reconstruction of the Austrian themed area with the ‘Magic Diamond Gorge’, which was destroyed by fire in June 2023.
The adjacent whitewater ride and family roller coaster Grottenblitz also suffered damage.
Europa-Park energetically tackled the reconstruction of these attractions in the Austrian themed area.
