
Air India has appointed Roel van Herwijnen as the new Sales Manager for the Benelux.
In this key role, Van Herwijnen is responsible for the further expansion and development of Air India’s sales and marketing activities in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
Joost den Hartog, Area Manager Northwest Europe at Air India, says he is pleased with the arrival of Van Herwijnen.
“With his rich experience in the aviation sector, as well as in the travel agency, GDS and corporate travel industry, he will strengthen our position in the Benelux market.” Roel van Herwijnen has more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry and has previously worked at Travelport, BCD Travel and Philips.
He is looking forward to working with both business and leisure travel agencies, tour operators and other partners in the Benelux region.
Air India operates daily flights from Amsterdam to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi (India).
From Delhi, there are connections to 45 destinations in India, as well as good international connections to Bangkok, Singapore, Colombo, Kuala Lumpur (from 15 September 2024), Kathmandu, Melbourne and Sydney.
