The ANVR has added a new element to the speaker program of the congress in Oman. For the first time, a College Tour interview will be held, named after the TV show of the same name, starring Marc van Deursen, CEO & Founder of Prijsvrij Vakanties & D-reizen. Details are not yet known. Van Deursen is one of the speakers from the conference program (day 2), which was announced on Wednesday. This year’s ANVR congress has an external chairman. After former director Frank Oostdam acted as chairman of the day for many years, this year’s conference will be moderated by former journalist Esmeralda van Boon. She reported on the Arab Spring in 2011 for Nieuwsuur and Pauw en Witteman, among others. She has also worked for media such as VPRO, IKON and NRC Handelsblad. She is fluent in Arabic. Another well-known name is that of Dr. Diane Nijs, lecturer in Imagineering at Buas (Breda University of Applied Sciences) and director of Attract (Belgium), a consultancy firm in the field of innovative leadership. Diane Nijs takes a closer look at the term complexity, which seems to be a new buzzword, and what it can mean for the tourism sector. The ANVR congress will be held in Oman from 13-17 November.
