Cathay Pacific announces a partnership with Klarna, the global payments network that makes it possible to pay for purchases afterwards. The premium airline and lifestyle brand is one of the first airlines in Europe to offer the ‘buy now, pay in three installments’ option through the platform. In six European countries, customers aged 18 and over can now choose Klarna as a payment option when booking a flight. In the UK, travellers can use the Pay in 3 instalments option on all purchases between €35 and €4000 when booking directly through the Cathay Pacific website. Customers who choose to pay with Klarna will receive reminders with clear information on how to pay. In addition, for even more convenience, they can select the auto-payment option so that payments are made automatically on the due date without the need for further action. Paul Johannes, Vice President Customer Travel and Lifestyle Europe, Cathay Pacific, said: “Cathay Pacific is known for providing passengers with exceptional service, from booking to arrival at their destination. Thanks to our partnership with Klarna, we can offer customers fast, flexible and convenient online payment options, so everyone can enjoy travel to the Asia-Pacific region“.
