Following in the footsteps of Transavia, Corendon will also charge for larger cabin baggage. The surcharge applies to bookings made from Wednesday, May 8, a spokeswoman told TravMagazine. Small hand luggage, with a size of 40x30x20 centimeters that fits under the seat, remains free of charge. This often involves a personal item, such as a handbag or beauty case. For cabin baggage with a size of 55x40x25 centimeters up to a weight of ten kilos, 15 euros must be paid each way. For cabin baggage weighing more than ten kilos, a fee from 24 euros per one-way ticket applies. The cabin baggage fee applies to travel to and from Dutch airports. The surcharge does not apply to flights to Curaçao, a popular destination of Corendon. The measure is not only being introduced because of increased costs, but also to speed up boarding and disembarkation. This avoids delays. (Photo Shutterstock).
