Corendon has opened its first travel agency in Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao. The travel company has been offering scheduled flights on the Amsterdam-Curaçao route since November last year. With the opening of the travel agency, Corendon wants to make it easier for travelers on the island to book their flights. Corendon’s travel agency is located in a monumental building next to The Ritz Village hotel, which was taken over in January this year. The travel agency will be officially opened on April 9 this year. Local residents can go there for flight bookings, as well as for booking package holidays in Europe, Turkey and Africa. Day passes for the Corendon Mangrove Resort and the Mangrove Aquapark can also be booked. Rooms can also be booked through a travel agency in Curaçao in one of the three Corendon hotels in Amsterdam: the College Hotel, Corendon Village and Corendon City. “Curaçao is our pearl in the Caribbean, which is why we offer scheduled flights to the beautiful island,” says Atilay Uslu, co-founder and owner of Corendon. ‘With our new travel agency in Willemstad, we ensure that people on the island can also effortlessly plan their flight to the Netherlands, or to a Corendon holiday even further away.’ Corendon flies five times a week with an Airbus A350 between Schiphol and Curaçao. Hotel The opening of the company’s own travel agency comes shortly after the takeover of the adjacent The Ritz Village hotel, in January this year. Corendon has ambitious plans for this hotel, with 75 hotel rooms and 42 apartments. A renovation plan has been drawn up and is expected to take two years to complete. In addition, Corendon has plans for the Jan Thiel Livingstone project, which will also undergo a makeover. (Photo Corendon).
