MSC Cruises is expanding its children’s and family programme this summer with new entertainment, such as extended opening hours of the children’s clubs, more family game shows, services for babies and much more. Frank Van den Steen, Country Manager Benelux MSC Cruises: “Cruises have undergone a transformation in recent decades. Today, more than ever, cruises are the perfect family holiday thanks to the wide range of activities available for children and young people. And MSC takes the cake. I am therefore delighted that we at MSC Cruises are succeeding in providing families with children with an unforgettable holiday.” Comprehensive services for babies from six months For the first time, MSC Cruises will offer a special baby care service for babies as young as six months. Previously, the service was exclusively for infants 1 year and older. The comprehensive service gives parents the freedom to enjoy the ship, with the peace of mind that their children are being cared for by dedicated and highly trained staff. The services are offered in partnership with Chicco®, a long-term partner of MSC Cruises. This means that all youth staff on board the ships are prepared to meet all the needs of babies between six months and 2 years. Doremiland Open House and Party Parents who still want to spend some quality time with their children on board at the Kids Club now have the opportunity to do so. Every day, a time is reserved when all areas of Doremiland are open. There will also be a large family celebration where parents and children can play together once per cruise. New original MSC game shows for the whole family One of the most popular activities for families is MSC’s original or branded game shows in which all children play the leading role, but can also challenge their parents. Following the success of MasterChef at Sea Juniors, Break the Wall and MSC Dance Crew, 2 new family game shows are now available as part of the family program: “World Quest”, a trivia game based on geography and “Caravaggio”, a spy game dedicated to art. Extended Kids Club opening hours for teens aged 12-17 The club hours for young guests aged 12 to 17 have now been extended so they can have even more fun on their cruise and enjoy the club on sea days from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to midnight and on port days from 3:00 pm to midnight.
Guinness World Record Activities Following the successful trials of Guinness World Record activities on board selected ships, the program is now being expanded to more ships. Can you choose the highest, the lowest, the biggest or the strongest or are you just good at guessing? Families have a chance to win prizes in the ultimate quiz show to break family records. Now available on: MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Magnifica, MSC Divina, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Virtuosa and MSC Grandiosa. The brand new MSC Foundation Days Families will now have the opportunity every day to take part in exclusive children’s activities carried out in partnership with the MSC Foundation and its long-term partners, to learn more about sustainability initiatives. Each day there is an hour of activities dedicated to important environmental themes, in which children can learn, create and express themselves according to their interests.
