As a precaution, Transavia is temporarily avoiding Lebanon’s airspace.
This is happening in response to recent developments and the increased tensions in the border region with Israel.
Transavia reports this on Wednesday in an update on its website about the situation in the Middle East.
Specifically, flights to Beirut will be suspended at least until August 5.
Flights to and from Tel Aviv (Israel) and Amman (Jordan) had already been removed from the schedule, mainly due to the halted demand for tickets to those destinations.
There will be no flights to Tel Aviv until at least the end of March 2025.
Services to Amman have been suspended until at least the beginning of November 2024.
Transavia says it will continue to closely monitor the security situation in the region. (Photo Shutterstock).
