
The Travel Counsellors Group has closed fiscal year 2023 with record revenue.
The first half of fiscal year 2024 is also showing solid growth, the international travel company has announced.
Travel Counsellors, active in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa and the Arab Emirates, recorded a total turnover of 941.6 million British pounds, equivalent to more than 1.1 billion euros, in the financial year 2023 (ending 31 October 2023).
That’s a growth of 31 percent.
These results were achieved for both leisure bookings and business travel.
Of the total turnover, 79 percent consisted of premium leisure bookings.
Travel business travel arm Travel Counsellors for Business saw revenue rise to £215 million in 2023.
Gross profit increased by 64 per cent compared to 2022, coming in at £33 million.
In 2023, 300 travel advisors joined the Travel Counsellors Group.
This brought the total number of Travel Counsellors worldwide to 1,923 in the previous financial year. Revenue growth Revenue growth at Travel Counsellors continued in the first six months of the new financial year (1 November 2023 to 30 April 2024).
Revenue increased by 14 percent year-on-year.
There were 148 new travel advisors.
This growth of 23 percent brings the total number of Travel Counsellors to more than 2,000.
To support its long-term growth plans, Travel Counsellors is continuously investing in further expanding its scalable platform, the company said in a statement.
