TUI Group has achieved record sales in the third quarter.
From April to June 2024, the travel group achieved a turnover of 5.8 billion euros with 5.8 million guests.
Turnover is 9 percent higher than in the same period of the previous financial year (5.3 billion).
The number of passengers was 4 percent higher.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 62 million euros to 232 million.
That was in line with analysts’ expectations.
This means that TUI Group’s operating profit increased for the eighth quarter in a row.
The figures were presented on Wednesday.
TUI Group confirms its forecast for the full financial year: a turnover increase of at least 10 percent and a result (EBIT) of plus 25 percent.
CEO Sebastian Ebel signals strong demand for summer 2024, with 6 percent more bookings and 3 percent higher prices.
Currently, 88 percent of the summer program has been sold.
The bookings for winter 24/25 look promising.
“By expanding our product portfolio, we are expanding our customer base and want to tap into new markets in Asia and America. TUI is thus expanding its global presence and is therefore less dependent on holiday times in Northwest and Central Europe. We are developers, investors and operators at the destinations, which sets us apart from our competitors enormously,” says Ebel.
