TUI is starting a close cooperation with Ryanair, TUI Group and the Irish airline have announced. TUI customers can now also choose from the Irish lowcoster’s huge range when booking their trip. All Ryanair flights will soon be bookable directly with TUI, and can be combined with the full TUI offer. This involves more than one million extra flights per year. The flights can be combined with hotel stays and more, both at travel agencies and online. “With this partnership, TUI is significantly expanding the variety and frequency of its flight offer. Travellers will benefit from even more destinations and greater flexibility, with millions of new combination options,” says TUI. The collaboration is initially aimed at the British market. However, with flights from Amsterdam (Malaga and Dublin), but especially from Ryanair hub Eindhoven, from where about forty destinations are served, there are certainly also opportunities in the Benelux. Especially to the many sun destinations that Ryanair visits. Dynamic packaging This involves more than one million extra flights per year: Ryanair’s full range of flights can be booked directly with TUI. The new offer makes it possible to build blocks for package holidays and individual trips. The additional offering will strengthen the strategic initiative for growth in dynamic packaging. “The new agreement follows the TUI Group’s strategy to digitize its business segments more. In the past financial year, the number of dynamic package holidays at TUI has already grown to more than 2.5 million. Through cooperation with Ryanair, TUI is now going to expand this further and at the same time is a new milestone in digitization.
In addition, the partnership also contributes to our growth strategy – achieving additional growth through more products and new guests,” said Peter Krüger, Chief Strategy Officer & Chief Executive Officer Holiday Experiences, TUI Group. Supplement The flights will complement the already growing range of TUI’s own flights and existing connections with partner airlines.
‘There is new potential, especially for destinations that do not yet connect seamlessly. This means that TUI will offer individual travellers even more attractive options for city breaks and short trips in the future. In addition, the additional flights can also be integrated into package holidays – when booking with travel agencies and online. With this partnership, TUI significantly expands the variety and frequency of its flight offer. Travellers will benefit from even more destinations and greater flexibility, with millions of new destinations and combination possibilities.” TUI Group “We are consistently implementing our transformation into a travel and experience provider throughout the year. More hotels, more flight connections, more excursions and activities on the road and at home – we create even more choice for our guests. The strategy… is clear: we want to continue to grow profitably – with our own exclusive brands and products, but also with an even broader and individualised range. The agreement we have now reached will create more travel opportunities for our guests than ever before,” said David Schelp, CEO Markets & Airlines, TUI Group. Ryanair “We are delighted to announce this partnership with TUI, which will now allow TUI customers to book Ryanair flights, seats and bags as part of their holiday package, with the guarantee that they will have full price transparency on Ryanair products,” said Dara Brady, Director Marketing & Digital at Ryanair. The ability to book Ryanair flights as part of TUI holidays will be gradually introduced over the coming weeks.
