The office of the Swedish Tourist Board in the Netherlands will be closed as of 1 June. This also means the end of Anne Tusveld’s work for Visit Sweden Benelux. Tusveld was employed by Visit Sweden for 21 years and worked there as a consultant for 2 years. “On June 1, I will close the doors of the Visit Sweden office in Amsterdam and the local representation of Visit Sweden in the Benelux and the PR work for Sweden as a holiday destination in the Benelux will come to an end,” Tusveld wrote to partners on Wednesday. The activities for the travel sector in the Benelux will continue from the head office in Stockholm. The website and social media activities will also continue remotely. The work for the media will be housed in the office in Germany. ‘I look back with great pleasure and gratitude on 23 years of working for this beautiful country and on the beautiful journeys I have been able to make in more than two decades, the inspiring people I have met, working with the Swedish partners, the media and trade contacts in the Benelux, Team Sweden and the ANTOR members and of course my fantastic Visit Sweden colleagues’, says Tusveld, who is looking for another job. ‘For the first time in 23 years, I have a long summer off ahead of me, which I’m going to enjoy to the fullest and then I’m going to look for something new. And with the idea that change is the only continuity in life, I am optimistic about a new future in work after 23 years of Visit Sweden.” Photo: Anne Tusveld (center) during TravDay in April 2022.
