Voigt Travel will donate 10 euros per booked trip to Salla, Finland, to a project that focuses on restoring and preserving the unspoiled beauty of Finnish Lapland. The project, supported by the Finnish Nature Heritage Foundation, aims to restore and nurture the local nature in Salla. Voigt Travel says it is committed to the preservation of the breathtaking landscapes and wants to offer its travelers the opportunity to be part of this valuable initiative. Give back to nature The ‘Give back to local nature’ project, initiated by the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation and Visit Salla, is an initiative aimed at protecting and conserving approximately 33 hectares of nature. This enchanting piece of earth, located in the Salla region along the Oulankajoki River, is home to coniferous trees that are more than 150 years old. In order to preserve this valuable nature reserve, restoration work is essential. That’s why the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation and Visit Salla are joining forces with local entrepreneurs and travellers holidaying in Salla. Together, they aim to raise enough funds to carry out the necessary restoration work and preserve the beautiful Oulankajoki wilderness for future generations. Photo: Niko Laurila
