The popular TV show Denkend aan Holland, featuring André van Duin and Janny van der Heijden, is getting a Swiss version. The first episode of “Thinking of Switzerland” will air next Sunday night (Nov. 26). Last winter, the TV filming of the new program took place in Switzerland, where the two TV celebrities, together with the faithful four-legged Nhaan, explore Switzerland. Here, winter train trips in Switzerland take center stage. Janny and André’s train journey through Switzerland starts at Amsterdam Central Station. Their first stop is in the ski resort of Zermatt, where they admire the famous Matterhorn, the symbol of Switzerland. A mountain guide takes the duo on a climbing expedition. The next day, the train meanders toward the source of the Rhine. Here stands “the tallest” lighthouse in the world. The broadcast dates are from November 26 through December 17, each time on Sunday evenings at 9:30 p.m. on NPO 1. Denkend aan Holland is very popular with an average of 1.3 million viewers.
